Junior Research Fellow with Opportunity for Joining PhD Program
Summary: Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the project titled "Formal verification of adaptive control algorithms" in the School of Mathematics & Computer Science at IIT Goa. This project is funded by the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (CEFIPRA). The JRF position is for one year with the option to extend further or enroll for a Ph.D. program.

Location: School of Mathematics & Computer Science, IIT Goa, India
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master's Degree (MTech) in Engineering/Technology or equivalent with 60% marks or CPI 6/10 or equivalent (55% marks or CPI 5.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST).
- Master's Degree (MSc) in Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent with 60% marks or CPI 6/10 or equivalent (55% marks or CPI 5.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST). The candidate should have qualified a national-level exam such as NET/GATE.
- Bachelor's degree (BTech) or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology with 70% marks or CPI 7/10 or equivalent (65% marks or CPI 6.5/10 or equivalent for SC/ST). The candidate should also satisfy one of the following criteria:
- Qualified GATE in CSE or in some relevant streams.
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF) of CSIR/UGC/NBHM/DBT/ICAR/ICMR/ICPR Fellowship in the relevant streams.
- B. Tech/Dual degree from IIT with a CPI/CGPA of 8.0 or more.
Desirable:
- Good programming skills
- Basic knowledge in data structures, algorithms, discrete mathematics, and linear algebra
Salary:
- Position 1: Three years in LABRI, Bordeaux, France (1500 euro/month) and remaining years in IIT Goa (35,000/month from the 3rd year onwards).
- Position 2: At IIT Goa (31,000/month for the first 2 years and 35,000/month from the 3rd year onwards). Support includes doing research in LABRI, France for a few months.
- DA: Not entitled to DA.
- HRA: As per funding agency norms.
- Medical Benefits: As per the Institute norms.
- Leave Entitlements: As per the Institute norms.
