Summary: Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee is seeking applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a research project sponsored by the Naval Research Board (NRB), DRDO, New Delhi. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Sushanta Dutta and will be responsible for designing and fabricating a bio-inspired surface with modified fluid-structure interaction for enhanced underwater performance.

Research Area: Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Location: Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee
Eligibility/Qualification: The candidate must have a minimum qualification of M.Tech., M.S. Research (1st class) / Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (GATE/I.I.T qualified) or B.Tech. from CFTI with CGPA > 7.5 and 6AFEF. Candidates with knowledge of Fluid Mechanics, Instrumentation will be given preference.
Emoluments: The selected candidate will receive a consolidated salary of 31,000 per month.
Duration: The position is for a duration of 3 years.
Job Description: The candidate will be responsible for designing a setup for the project and carrying out experiments with different instruments.
