Summary: The Department of Applied Mechanics at IIT Madras is seeking applications for the temporary post of Project Officer. The position is for a period of 1 year and is extendable based on performance. The Project Officer will work under the supervision of Prof. Mahesh Panchagnula and will be responsible for developing algorithms to solve research gaps in the field of sports science.

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Candidates should have good command in python programming.
• Experience in image processing and computer vision is desirable.
• Freshers with a final year project in relevant fields are also encouraged to apply.
• Exposure to sports science and analytics is desirable.

Job Description:

• Development of algorithms to solve research gaps in the field of sports science.
• Writing research articles and patents.
• Discussing and documenting specification requirements.
• Supervising undergraduates, interns, and technicians as appropriate.
