Applications are invited for the temporary posts of Senior Research Fellow for the project titled “ID-PPPOTN: Infrastructure and Development of Technologies for Pre-clinical evaluation, Product establishment and Platform integration for Onco-theranostic applications” in the Department of Biotechnology, IIT Madras.

Coordinator: Prof. Guhan Jayaraman, Department of Biotechnology, IIT Madras.

Duration: Initially for one year, extendable based on performance.

The job profile will mainly border on the laboratory experiments pertaining to the production and purification of antibodies using recombinant technology. The candidate will conduct bench work for experiments on molecular cloning, bioreactor runs for optimization of antibody production as well as downstream processing using advanced chromatography techniques for obtaining purified antibodies. This will require familiarity/ training with the use of equipment and protocols associated with bioprocess engineering. Besides, the job will also involve an associated diagnostic module for testing the purified antibodies for the detection of ovarian cancer biomarkers using an established biosensor platform.
