Applications are invited for the following temporary post of Project Officer in the office of Global Engagement, IIT Madras. 

Co-ordinator: Prof. Preeti Aghalayam - Advisor, Office of Global Engagement. Duration: Six months, extendable based on the performance.

The program officer is expected to conceptualize, support, and execute the implementation of initiatives in line with the GATI (Gender Advancement for Transforming Institutions (GATI) pilot project sponsored by Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology (KIRAN Division) at IIT Madras. The program officer is expected to play a major role in the fundamental research, simulation and implementation activities related to the project in collaboration with the other involved Institutes/Universities. The program officer is expected to execute the objectives of the project and should be good with data collection and analysis, report writing, using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with good communication skills. The program officer is expected to manage tasks related to educational and research activities and co-ordinate various ongoing projects at the office related to education and research, partner coordination, work planning, reporting, communication, budgeting, organising events, etc.
