Applications are invited for a position of Project Associate-I the project entitled, "Deep Learning Framework for Robust Source Localization and Tracking using Spherical Arrays", funded by the SERB, Department of Science and Technology.
The Post is purely temporary and on contractual basis for a period of One year. The period may be extended based on requirement.
About the Project: -
Direction of arrival (DOA) estimation has many applications such as distant automatic speech recognition, automatic camera steering, speech enhancement, source separation, video conferencing and robot audition. The spherical microphone array (SMA) has been widely used for array signal processing, particularly for DOA estimation. Due to its rotational symmetry, SMA offers the advantage of array processing techniques such as localization of sources in any direction without any ambiguity. In this project, the objective is to develop deep learning framework for robust DOA estimation real time localization and tracking of speech sources. Utilization of spherical harmonics in more effective beamforming and cross-talk cancellation for 3-D spatial audio.

Consolidated Salary: - Rs. 31000/- per month depending on experience.

- B.E/B.Tech (Electronics/Communication Engineering)
- B.E/B.Tech (Electronics/Communication Engineering) or M.E/MTech (Electronics/Communication Engineering)
- Working experience with
- Signal and Audio processing
- Good programming skills in Matlab/Python.
- deep learning platforms such as Tensorflow and Pytorch,
- Experience with handling large datasets
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, organizational skills and close attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems independently and work well as part of a team.
