📋 Summary:

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) BHU, Varanasi invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the project titled “Empowering Sixth Sense Capabilities of Communication Network: Design and Development of Test-Bed for RIS-enabled Joint Sensing and Communication Systems.” This project is funded by the Technology Development Fund (TTDF) under the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), Government of India.

✅ Eligibility/Qualification:

For M.Tech. holders:

  • M.Tech. (First Class) in Electronics and Communication Engineering or allied areas
  • B.Tech. (First Class) in Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • GATE Qualified

For B.Tech. only candidates:

  • B.Tech. (minimum 75%) in Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • GATE Qualified

Desirable:

  • Experience or familiarity with communication systems, MATLAB, and/or FPGA implementation

🧪 Job Description:

The selected candidate will contribute to the development and implementation of a Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS)-enabled test-bed for Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) systems, which are key enablers for 6G wireless networks. Tasks will include system design, simulations, hardware implementation, and testing.

💰 Salary:

  • ₹37,000/- per month + HRA as per Government norms

⏳ Tenure:

The position is purely temporary and co-terminous with the project.

🎂 Age Limit:

As per Government of India rules (age relaxation applicable for reserved categories)
