Applications are invited for a junior research fellow (JRF) position in the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Ropar under the MeitY-sponsored project titled “Development of Electrically Conductive Adhesives for the Microelectronic Packaging and Flexible Film Circuits”. The position is purely temporary and is for three years (or till the completion of the project). The deserving candidate will be considered for PhD admission if the candidate meets all the institute requirements.
About the Project:
Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Position(s): 2
Duration: Initially for 6 months. It may be extended further based on performance and continuation of the project.
Emoluments: Consolidated Rs. 31,000/- per month
Essential Qualifications:
a) M.E./M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering or allied branches or a Master’s degree by Research in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering or allied branches. Candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks (or 6.5 CGPA) in their Master’s with a valid GATE score or UGC-JRF/NET/CSIR-JRF.
OR
b) Candidates with a Master’s degree in Science (Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry etc.) with an excellent academic record are eligible. Candidates must have a valid GATE score or UGC-JRF/NET/CSIR-JRF or equivalent qualification in the relevant area tenable for the year of registration.
Desirable Qualifications: (i) Experience in synthesis and characterization of polymers, nanomaterials, adhesives, coatings, and nanocomposites is highly desired. OR (ii) Experience in device fabrication, sensor fabrication, and electrical and electrochemical characterization. All applicants are expected to be proficient in written and verbal communication skills.
