Job Title: Chanakya Doctoral Fellowship (PhD) Position


Applications are invited for the Chanakya Doctoral Fellowship (PhD) position in the project titled "High Speed Electronic and Photonic Component Co-design for On-chip QKD Transceivers" under the guidance of Dr. Emani Naresh Kumar, Associate Professor, EE Department, IIT Hyderabad. This research opportunity is funded by the IHUB Quantum Technology Foundation and offers a 3-year fellowship, extendable for an additional year.

  • Age Limit: Candidates should not be more than 30 years old.
  • Educational Qualifications:BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical Engineering (EE) with a minimum of 70% marks or equivalent CGPA OR
  • Masters in VLSI, Physics, Photonics, or equivalent.
  • Requisite Experience:Strong fundamentals in electromagnetics, semiconductor devices, quantum mechanics, and optics.
  • Proficiency in programming in MATLAB/Python.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will contribute to the research project focused on the co-design of high-speed electronic and photonic components for on-chip Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) transceivers. Key responsibilities include:

  • Systematic study of the co-design of electronic and photonic components for on-chip QKD transceivers.
  • Development of models to evaluate the RF performance of photonic devices.
  • Integration of electronic and photonic components at the board level.

Salary: Rs. 37,000/- per month (No HRA provided)
